Chelsea £16m signing Mikel granted work permit

Chelsea have been granted a work permit for Nigeria midfielder Jon Obi Mikel.

The Premiership champions completed the £16m (€23.39m) signing of the highly-rated 19-year-old last month after a dispute with Norwegian club Lynn Oslo and Manchester United.

Mikel is one of four players to have moved to Stamford Bridge this summer along with Michael Ballack, Andriy Shevchenko and Salomon Kalou.
