N'Gotty determined after signing deal with Birmingham
Bruno N’Gotty is determined to help Birmingham regain their top-flight status after signing a one-year deal at St Andrews.
The 35-year-old Frenchman was out of contract after five years at Bolton but wanted to remain in the country rather than move abroad.
The Blues have signed striker Cameron Jerome, midfielder Neil Danns and full-back Stephen Kelly since they were relegated from the Premiership.
“I had offers from other clubs, but this was the challenge I wanted,” said N’Gotty on the club’s official website www.bcfc.com.
“I wanted to continue playing in England and I think Birmingham is a good choice.
“They are in a big city, and the club have a good stadium and a lot of good fans.
“They were unlucky to go down last year, but I think they have a very good coach who wants to get promotion straight away, so it’s a good opportunity for me.
“Before signing I talked to Steve Bruce and I asked him ’what do you want for the future?’.
“He told me about his plans and I decided I wanted to sign here.”
