Blackburn have completed the signing of Francis Jeffers from Charlton on a free transfer.

Blackburn have completed the signing of Francis Jeffers from Charlton on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old striker has signed a two-year contract, and Rovers have the option of a third year.

Jeffers, capped by England once before suffering injury problems, was loaned to Rangers last season but failed to score.

“It has been a busy couple of days,” Jeffers said on his new club’s official website, www.rovers.co.uk. “But what a fantastic move for me – I can’t wait.

“I’ve had a difficult couple of years. But I’ve no doubt that I can do it - given a fair crack of the whip here, I’m sure I can get back to my best and take this club forward.”
