Van Basten: Robben is a jewel

Holland coach Marco van Basten insists he would choose Arjen Robben over Wayne Rooney because the Chelsea star “can be the best player in the world”.

Jose Mourinho may not agree – if he did, the winger would no doubt have had a much happier season – but van Basten believes Robben is the key to inspiring his young team of hopefuls.
