Pompey look to bag Davies
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed he would be interested in signing coveted West Brom defender Curtis Davies.
Albion turned down a £3.5m (€5m) bid from Tottenham last month for the England Under-21 international.
And Redknapp, who is believed to have been handed a considerable transfer kitty this summer by club co-owner Alexander Gaydamak, told the Portsmouth News: “It all depends on how much he costs. He is a young player with great potential.”
Davies joined Albion for £3million from Luton last August but could not prevent them being relegated from the Premiership.
Baggies manager Bryan Robson has subsequently insisted he does not want to sell the centre-half.
