Darren Mansarem was Rovers’ star man with goals early in each half as the home fans were given a timely treat ahead of the summer break.
The big Englishman struck after just two minutes to volley home after a ball over the top had caught Town square.
Mansarem struck again on 47 minutes to head home after a brilliant move involving Faz Kudozovic, Chris Turner and Paul McTiernan.
Keith Foy ended the game as a contest four minutes later when slotting home a penalty.
Dave Mooney pulled a goal back for Longford on 56 minutes but Rovers comfortably held out to maintain their unbeaten home record.
