Valencia confirm Morientes agreement

Valencia have agreed personal terms with striker Fernando Morientes, allowing his transfer from Liverpool to go ahead.

The 30-year-old, who was left out of Spain’s World Cup squad, has agreed a three-year contract with the option of a further year.

The move – agreed between the clubs on undisclosed terms on Thursday – is still subject to a medical, with the official presentation expected to take place on Tuesday once Morientes returns from holiday.
