Dublin City will be hoping to bounce back from last week’s 2-0 defeat by St Patrick’s Athletic against local rivals Shelbourne in the eircom League Cup at Dalymount Park.

The Vikings will field a be near full strength with Ger McCarthy and Ben Whelehan the only absentees for the clash.

Shelbourne, fresh from last week’s 2-1 win over League leaders Drogheda, could give Greg O'Halloran and Richie Baker starts after the pair returned to training last week after long-term absences.

O’Halloran has been out since the opening game of the League season with a foot problem while Baker (thigh) has missed Shelbourne’s last 10 matches.
