Aston Villa’s leading scorer Milan Baros is fit to participate in what could be his last game for the midlands club, against Sunderland in the Premiership on Sunday.

Baros, who has recovered from a hamstring injury, has a get-out clause in his contract and could become hot property if he impresses in the World Cup for the Czech Republic.

Defender Jlloyd Samuel, another player whose future is in doubt, may miss out after being sent home from training suffering from tonsillitis.

Defenders Martin Laursen and Mark Delaney remain ruled out with knee problems as Villa look to register only their sixth home win of the campaign.

Provisional squad: Sorensen, Hughes, Mellberg, Cahill, Bouma, Milner, Davis, McCann, Barry, Baros, Phillips, Angel, Moore, Taylor, Agbonlahor, Gardner, Ridgewell, Hendrie.
