Weaver could return for City

Nicky Weaver could make his first senior start for Manchester City since August 2003 in Saturday’s Premiership encounter with Fulham.

First-choice goalkeeper David James is doubtful for the Eastlands encounter with a stiff back, so Weaver is standing by to make an emotional re-appearance after a nightmare three injury-plagued seasons which looked set to claim his career.
