Celtic were unable to unlock a resolute Rangers defence in an entertaining goalless first half at Parkhead.

Celtic, who wrapped up the Bank of Scotland Premier League title at the beginning of the month, were marginally the better of the two Glasgow sides.

But Rangers looked threatening on the break but had goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus to thank for pulling off two wonderful stops to deny Shaun Maloney and Maciej Zurawski.
