Cork City goalkeeper Michael Devine will undergo knee surgery today and is targeting a comeback in the Setanta Sports Cup final.

Devine has been carrying a knee problem all season, but was forced out of action against Longford last week with a cartilage problem in his knee.

He will go in for an operation today and is hoping to be back training in 10 days, just before the Setanta Sports Cup final.

Deputy Mark McNulty has impressed in Devine's absense, though the 'keeper admits that he is likely to miss out when Devine returns.

"When Mick is fit, he'll be back in," McNulty told Setanta Sports.
