Oliver Kahn has declared himself ready to be Germany number one Jens Lehmann’s understudy at the World Cup.

The Bayern Munich goalkeeper was informed by national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Friday that Arsenal stopper Lehmann would be Germany’s first choice.
