Ivan Campo has returned to training but appears unlikely to figure in Bolton’s Premiership clash with Manchester United.

The veteran Spaniard has made a full recovery from the broken foot which has kept him out of action since the end of January but with just a single week’s training under his belt, United’s visit may come just too soon.

Trotters boss Sam Allardyce is hopeful of having El Hadji-Diouf available but the striker’s comeback has been eagerly awaited for a month now and he has still to make his reappearance following a hernia operation.

Provisional squad: Jaaskelainen, O’Brien, Hunt, Jaidi, Ben Haim, N’Gotty, Gardner, Giannakopoulos, Faye, Okocha, Speed, Nolan, Davies, Vaz Te, Diouf, Pedersen, Walker, Nakata, Borgetti.
