Minister briefs Staunton on Abbotstown campus
Sports Minister John O'Donoghue has briefed new Ireland manager Steve Staunton on the €120m sports campus being developed by the Government in the Abbotstown area of Dublin.
The campus will include state-of-the-art training facilities and accommodation for up to 30 sports.
Speaking after this morning's meeting, Staunton said he was impressed with the blueprint.
"This is going to be something special," he said.
"It's for everyone in the country. It's exciting times ahead and in the next four or five years, hopefully, everybody will bear the fruits of what's going to happen."
