Derry had Sean Hargan sent off as they lost 1-0 for the second time in four days as Setanta Sports Group 2 was blown wide open by this result at the Oval.

Glens quickly put last week’s 3-1 defeat at the Brandywell behind them to take an eighth minute lead which they held to the death.

Derry keeper David Forde could only get a touch to a Mark Glendinning header from Shaun Holmes' corner and Jamie Reed tapped home at the back post.

Derry’s task was made more difficult with the sending off of left-back Sean Hargan for a second booking just before half time.
