Allardyce will make changes
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is set to freshen up his squad for the visit of Sunderland tomorrow in an attempt to shake off the disappointment of their midweek FA Cup exit.
The extra-time defeat at West Ham was draining both physically and mentally, according to Allardyce, and Joey O’Brien, Bruno N’Gotty and Hidetoshi Nakata are all in line for a return against the Barclays Premiership’s bottom club.
Henrik Pedersen, a substitute at Upton Park, is pushing for a starting place but forward El-Hadji Diouf has still not sufficiently recovered from a double hernia.
Provisional squad: Jaaskelainen, O’Brien, Hunt, Jaidi, Ben Haim, N’Gotty, Gardner, Giannakopoulos, Faye, Okocha, Speed, Nolan, Davies, Vaz Te, Pedersen, Walker, Nakata, Borgetti.
