Jarosik set for Chelsea exit

Jiri Jarosik looks set to follow Alexei Smertin out of Chelsea as part of Jose Mourinho’s midfield reshuffle which he hopes will see Michael Ballack arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Czech Republic international Jarosik has spent virtually all of the current season on loan at Birmingham and Mourinho does not see him returning to play for the Barclays Premiership champions.

“It’s unlikely that Jarosik will return,” the Portuguese boss said.

“He wants to play regularly and that would be impossible here.”

As well as Smertin, who has returned to Russia to play for Dynamo Moscow after spending this season on loan at Charlton, Mourinho has allowed midfielders Juan Sebastian Veron, Scott Parker and Tiago leave the club.
