Mido close to Spurs deal

Egyptian striker Mido will be the next Tottenham striker to seal a new contract following Robbie Keane’s decision to commit himself to the club until the summer of 2010.

The Republic of Ireland captain signed a new four-year deal on Friday and the club are currently continuing negotiations with Mido about replacing his current loan deal from Roma with a permanent one.
