Charlton trio pushing for recall

Alexei Smertin, Chris Powell and Talal El Karkouri are all pushing for recalls to the Charlton starting line-up at home to Aston Villa tomorrow after they were rested for the midweek draw at Newcastle.

Winger Jerome Thomas has recovered from a groin problem but although Dennis Rommedahl is back in full training following a rib injury he is unlikely to feature, with the same applying to Jonathan Fortune (rib) and Gonzalo Sorondo (foot).
