Shels hit by suspensions list

Shelbourne could be without five players through suspension for the opening match of the season against Bray Wanderers after David Crawley and Greg O’Halloran were sent off in last night’s 3-0 friendly victory over Shamrock Rovers.

With Owen Heary, Ollie Cahill and Dave Rogers all due to serve suspensions carried over from last season, it means that Shelbourne could be severely stretched for the start of the season.

Crawley and O’Halloran’s cases will be put before a disciplinary committee at the end of the month with both expected to receive one-match bans.
