Mido arrives with Spurs

Egyptian striker Mido arrived at the Stadium of Light with his Tottenham team-mates this lunchtime after his premature exit from the African Nations Cup.

The 22-year-old, who was banned by his country for six months after a touchline row with coach Hassan Shehata during their semi-final victory, walked out on to the pitch shortly before noon ahead of the Barclays Premiership clash with Sunderland.

Spurs boss Martin Jol faced a decision on whether to include him or stick with in-from duo Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe in attack.
