Campbell has 'no personal problems'
Arsenal defender Sol Campbell has no “personal problems” and will be back in training on Monday, according to a statement released by his solicitor.
The England centre-back has not been seen since walking out of Highbury at half-time of their 3-2 Barclays Premiership defeat to West Ham on Wednesday.
Speculation has been rife about what exactly was wrong with Campbell, with team-mate Robert Pires claiming he had “a big worry on the private side”.
However, Campbell's solicitor Bob Battu dismissed the growing concerns over the 31-year-old, who has not been in contact with Arsenal since leaving the ground in midweek.
“Sol is absolutely fine. I have been in continuous contact with him since Wednesday evening,” Battu told Sky News.
“He needed time and space to gather his thoughts. He has no personal problems whatsoever. He will be back in training next week.”
