Everton wait on Beattie

Everton are hoping striker James Beattie will have recovered from the calf strain that has kept him out of two matches in time for tomorrow’s clash against Manchester City.

Striker Duncan Ferguson starts a three-match ban after being sent off at Wigan in midweek and is appealing against the second FA charge relating to the same match when he is alleged to have pushed Pascal Chimbonda in the face.
