Duncan Ferguson has requested a personal hearing after denying a Football Association charge of using violent conduct in a tussle with Wigan defender Pascal Chimbonda.

The veteran Scottish striker was red-carded moments after the incident involving Chimbonda, having punched Paul Scharner in an off-the-ball incident.
