Skipper ready for Latics return

Wigan captain Arjan de Zeeuw is poised to return to the side after a three-match absence with an ankle injury for tomorrow’s JJB Stadium clash with Everton.

Midfielder David Thompson is also available after missing the recent Carling and FA Cup ties through ineligibility.

But manager Paul Jewell still has a number of players injured in Lee McCulloch, David Connolly, David Wright, Emerson Thome, Ryan Taylor and Steve McMillan, while Henri Camara is on African Nations Cup duty with Senegal.
