Ferguson hands debut to Vidic
Alex Ferguson handed £7m (€10.3m) new-boy Nemanja Vidic his first Manchester United start in their FA Cup fourth round tie at Wolves.
The Serbian’s introduction, along with the inclusions of Wes Brown and Mikael Silvestre, suggested Ferguson had elected to let Rio Ferdinand anchor his injury-ravaged midfield.
Park Ji-sung also returned for the visitors, who also had Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Louis Saha in their starting line-up to face a Wolves side skippered by United old-boy Paul Ince.

Man Utd: Van der Sar, Neville, Brown, Vidic, Silvestre, Ferdinand, Park, Richardson, Rooney, Saha, van Nistelrooy. Subs: Howard, Evra, Smith, Fletcher, Bardsley.
