Ronaldo charged after gesture

Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged with misconduct by UEFA.

The matter related to the Manchester United man’s offensive gesture to supporters as he left the field during the Red Devils’ disastrous Champions League defeat to Benfica in Lisbon last month.

After suffering the abuse of home fans throughout the game, Ronaldo then responded by raising one finger to the crowd as he was jeered following his substitution in the second half.
