Cole appeal against 'tap-up' fine fails

England full-back Ashley Cole has failed in his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the £75,000 (€109,000) fine imposed for breaking Premier League rules by discussing a transfer to Chelsea last season.

England full-back Ashley Cole has failed in his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the £75,000 (€109,000) fine imposed for breaking Premier League rules by discussing a transfer to Chelsea last season.

The CAS have ruled that the appeal filed by the Arsenal full-back was “not admissible” because the CAS have “no jurisdiction to rule on the dispute between Mr Cole and the Football Association Premier League”.
