Kerr wishes Staunton all the best

Brian Kerr insists there is no bitterness following the appointment of Steve Staunton and his “interesting group” of backroom staff to take charge of the Republic of Ireland team.

Kerr’s contract as Ireland boss was not renewed after he failed to lead the team to the World Cup finals, with Football Association of Ireland officials opting for the inexperienced Staunton.
