Pandiani on way to Spain

Birmingham have agreed a fee of £1m (€1.5m) with Espanyol for striker Walter Pandiani.

The Uruguay international is travelling to Spain to discuss personal terms with the La Liga club.

The 29-year-old first joined Blues on loan in January 2005 from Deportivo La Coruna before the move was made permanent in early August 2005 for £3m (€4.4m).

During his time at St Andrew’s Pandiani has made 35 appearances and scored six goals.
