Angel back for Villa

Juan Pablo Angel returned to the Aston Villa starting line-up as his side sought to avoid more knockout humiliation in the FA Cup third round at Hull today.

Angel replaced the suspended Milan Baros with boss David O’Leary desperate to erase memories of his side’s 3-0 Carling Cup capitulation to Coca-Cola League One side Doncaster just over a month ago.

Lee Hendrie came in for the ineligible Eirik Bakke in midfield, while the Tigers were shorn of former Premiership star Nicky Barmby due to injury, and welcomed Craig Fagan back in his place up front.
