Bouma blow for Villa

Aston Villa left-back Wilfred Bouma has been ruled out of tomorrow’s clash with Arsenal at Villa Park.

The Dutch international damaged his knee in Wednesday’s 3-3 draw at Fulham.

Villa will also be without central defender Olof Mellberg. The Swedish international has missed Villa’s last three games with a hamstring strain but had hoped to figure against Arsenal.

However he is not yet match fit and has targeted Monday’s derby at West Brom for his comeback.

Manager David O’Leary is still without striker Kevin Phillips (knee) and midfielders Patrik Berger (knee), Lee Hendrie (Achilles) and Ulises De La Cruz (calf).
