Carr back for Magpies

Newcastle defender Stephen Carr returns to the squad for the first time since undergoing surgery on a hernia in November for tomorrow’s Barclay’s Premiership trip to Tottenham.

Midfielder Lee Bowyer begins a three-match ban following the failure of an appeal against his sending-off at Liverpool on Boxing Day, but Scott Parker (knee) and Titus Bramble (groin) are fit.
