Pearce wants more out of 'average' City

Demanding Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce has used his Christmas message to underline his high expectations for the Blues by declaring their start to the campaign no better than average.

Pearce has engineered a startling revival since succeeding Kevin Keegan as manager of the Eastlands outfit in March.
