Nigel Reo-Coker has recovered from a fractured ankle and is fit for West Ham’s Boxing Day clash at Portsmouth.

Reo-Coker is set to start in the Hammers midfield in place of Yossi Benayoun, who is out for three weeks with a groin injury he sustained against Newcastle last weekend.

Teddy Sheringham is still struggling with a calf strain so Marlon Harewood and Bobby Zamora are set to continue up front. Danny Gabbidon is still recovering from a nasty gash to the knee but should be ready for a return against Wigan on December 28.

Provisional squad: Carroll, Hislop, Bywater, Repka, Ferdinand, Collins, Konchesky, Reo-Coker, Fletcher, Noble, Dailly, Newton, Mullins, Etherington, Harewood, Zamora, Bellion, Aliadiere.
