Dowie happy over rejected Johnson bid

Crystal Palace manager Iain Dowie has welcomed the club’s decision to reject West Ham’s bid for striker Andrew Johnson.

Chairman Simon Jordan turned down a £5.5m (€8m) offer this week for the 24-year-old England international, who signed a new five-year deal with Palace in the summer.
