Sevilla boss impressed by Bolton
Bolton are being tipped to go on an extended run in the UEFA Cup after reaching the knockout stages.
Sam Allardyce’s team clinched a place in the last 32 after getting the point they needed in Group H against Spanish side Sevilla.
Bruno N’Gotty put Bolton ahead after 65 minutes, getting on the end of a corner from Khalilou Fadiga, but Adriano brought the sides level nine minutes later with a clinical finish from an acute angle to earn Sevilla a 1-1 draw.
Sevilla coach Juande Ramos said of Bolton: “They can get through a few more rounds yet and go far in the competition. Bolton are a difficult team to play against. They are direct and a lot of their players are good in the air.”
A delighted Allardyce added: “It’s a great feeling for me and the lads, and we can look forward to the draw on Friday.
“This is a great occasion in terms of what we have achieved. If the draw is kind to us, who knows how far we can go?"
