Essien tackle raises video debate

The Football Association are seeking clarification from FIFA whether their stance on video evidence has changed after Sepp Blatter’s intervention into the debate over Michael Essien’s dangerous tackle on Dietmar Hamann.

Essien was not penalised by referee Herbert Fandel during the Champions League encounter between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge earlier this week.
