Robson: 'Gascoigne needs football'

Bobby Robson has urged Paul Gascoigne’s closest friends to make sure the former England midfielder does not go the same way as the late George Best.

Gascoigne left Kettering after just 39 days in charge amid accusations from club chairman Imraan Ladak he was “under the influence of alcohol before, during and after several first-team games and training sessions".
