Martyn set to miss Old Trafford trip
Veteran goalkeeper Nigel Martyn is a major doubt for Everton’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday.
Martyn limped out of Saturday’s 2-0 win at Blackburn with a groin injury and Richard Wright took over for a rare first team appearance.
Martyn will need a scan on the injury, but it is already feared that the injury will take time to heal. Manager David Moyes said: “It gives Richard an opportunity if Nigel doesn’t pull through.”
Everton will also be without Ewood Park goalscorer Mikel Arteta at Old Trafford as he is suspended after picking up his fifth booking, though he would have been out anyway with a recurrence of a knee injury.
