Gary Neville is targeting next week’s Carling Cup clash with West Brom for his first senior Manchester United start in three months.

After finally recovering from a groin operation, the veteran full-back made his first-team return on Tuesday with a late substitute appearance in the goalless Champions League draw with Villarreal.
