Hasselbaink seals Boro win

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink provided the perfect conclusion to a frustrating afternoon when he fired home a late winner to see off battling Fulham.

The Dutchman, who had endured one of his less impressive performances, struck on 84 minutes after seeing strike-partner Aiyegbeni Yakubu deflect his shot home from a suspiciously offside position for his side’s second equaliser eight minutes earlier.

Collins John had given the visitors a ninth-minute lead with a superb volley and then Papa Bouba Diop restored their lead 20 minutes from time with a towering header after James Morrison had levelled with his first Barclays Premiership goal.
