The Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland has announced the nominees for the PFAI awards and the two divisional teams of the year.

The Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland has announced the nominees for the PFAI awards and the two divisional teams of the year.

Former winners Jason Byrne (Shelbourne) and Peter Hutton (Derry City) are shortlisted for the Premier Division award along with Mark Farren (Derry City), Joe Gamble, George O'Callaghan (both Cork City) and Tony McDonnell (UCD).

The First Division award will be contested between John O'Hara (Sligo Rovers), Kieran O'Reilly (Cobh Ramblers) and Aidan Price (Kilkenny City) while the young player award is between Gary Dicker (UCD), Liam Kearney (Cork City) and Pat McCourt (Derry City).

The eircom League managers also selected their teams of the year with the top teams in both divisions dominating the selections.

The winners will be announced on Sunday, November 27.

Premier Division team of the year: Devine (Cork City); Heary (Shelbourne), Hutton (Derry City), Murray (Cork City), Murphy (Cork City); McCourt (Derry City), Gamble (Cork City), O'Callaghan (Cork City), Kearney (Cork City); Byrne (Shelbourne), Farren (Derry City).

First Division team of the year: O'Hara (Sligo Rovers); O'Brien (Kildare County), McNamara (Sligo Rovers), Price (Kilkenny City), Low (Sligo Rovers); Collins (Dublin City), Barrett (Limerick), Kuduzovic (Sligo Rovers), O'Grady (Sligo Rovers); O'Reilly (Cobh Ramblers), McCarthy (Dundalk).
