Stuart Pearce has admitted he may be forced to rush Robbie Fowler back into action if Manchester City’s injury crisis continues to bite.

The Blues boss was so desperate to get a game into Fowler this week he unsuccessfully attempted to switch venues for a reserve team clash with Stockport when Edgeley Park was ruled unfit.
