Duo appeal against dismissals

Blackburn and Bolton have presented wrongful dismissal claims to the Football Association following the red cards handed to Zurab Khizanishvili and Ricardo Gardner at the weekend.

Rovers’ claim refers to the red card shown to Khizanishvili for ’denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity’ during Saturday’s match against Liverpool when he tripped Djibril Cisse on the edge of the penalty area.
