Keane will decide own future - Charlton
Manchester United legend Bobby Charlton believes Roy Keane will decide his own future.
Republic of Ireland midfielder Keane has admitted he did not expect to be at Old Trafford next season.
Charlton believes Keane will decide what is best for him, and whether to carry on playing elsewhere.
Charlton, playing this week in the Dunhill links championship golf in Scotland, said: āRoy is at an age where heās thinking about his future.
āIf he wants to go into coaching or management or continue playing for a while then he will make up his mind himself because heās a sensible lad. He will also have talked to a lot of people.ā
Charlton praised Keane for the impact he has had at United.
āAt Manchester United we canāt say enough good things about him,ā said Charlton.
āHeās a wonderful player and has been a great servant to the club. We hope he will be with us for a little while longer, but we must leave it to him.
āI would not insult him by not letting him make up his own mind.ā
