Bray survive fight back to book place in semis

Bray blitzed UCD with a two goal salvo inside 16 minutes to book their place in the last four of the FAI Carlsberg Cup.

Bray’s early pressure brought the lead on 12 minutes.

UCD failed to clear David Tyrrell’s cross and Kevin O’Brien put the ball back into the College area where Paul Murphy arrived to head home.

Tyrrell then stretched Bray’s lead on 43 minutes with a delightful chip over Darren Quigley.

The game looked up for UCD on 61 minutes when Kieran O’Brien added Bray's third.

But College hit back within two minutes when Robbie Martin forced home Pat McWalter’s cross.

McWalter then scored UCD’s second seven minutes from time.

But Bray held out to avenge last week’s league defeat and effectively end UCD’s season.
