Liverpool deny reports linking Benitez to Real Madrid

European champions Liverpool today rubbished reports that Rafa Benitez was ready to leave the club for Real Madrid.

According to reports, the Reds boss is to take over at the Bernabeau when under-fire coach Wanderley Luxembergo gets his marching orders.

But Anfield officials said they wanted Benitez to lead them to more glory.
