Keane out for two months

Manchester United skipper Roy Keane is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his left foot, according to Sky Sports.

Keane played for 89 minutes of the goalless draw against Liverpool at Anfield before being replaced by Ryan Giggs.

But the Irishman is reported to have broken the third metatarsal in his left foot and could be out for up to two months.

It was not immediately clear when Keane had picked up the injury.

United boss Alex Ferguson had sprung a surprise by naming him in his side after a quicker-than-expected recovery from a hamstring injury.
